Welcome to heterogeneities.net, my STS home page.

Alternative methods for social science? Here's the link to Modes of Knowing: Resources from the Baroque, recently published open-source by Mattering Press.

And you'll find an updated version of the 2015 Denver Bernal Prize plenary, 'Provincialising STS: Symmetry, Postcolonialism and Method' here.

This 'heterogeneities' personal page also includes other STS papers, projects, issues, and updates. I publish new papers and republish older papers here.

Please follow this link for updates on STS issues, and for a description of my current work please visit the research projects page.

I'm retired, and I'm Emeritus Professor at the Open University's Department of Sociology, Honorary Professor at Lancaster University's Centre for Science Studies, and Visiting Professor at the Sámi Allaskuvla (Sámi University of Applied Sciences) in Guovdageaidnu, Finnmark, Norway. Until 2014 I was a director of CRESC, the OU-Manchester University ESRC-funded Centre for Research on Sociocultural Change.
